SOLAS, the Further Education and Training Authority, is pleased to announce that it has been reaccredited with Ibec's KeepWell Mark, a national accreditation that recognises organisations that place employee health and wellbeing at the centre of workplace culture.

The KeepWell Mark assesses organisations across a range of wellbeing areas including leadership, attendance management, occupational safety and health, mental health, nutrition and physical activity, inclusion and belonging, talent support and development, and intoxicants.

This reaccreditation reflects the continued focus on employee wellbeing across the organisation and the progress made since first achieving the KeepWell Mark in 2024.

Over recent years, SOLAS has continued to strengthen its approach to employee wellbeing through a range of initiatives and supports, including blended working arrangements, the Employee Assistance Programme, wellbeing campaigns and awareness initiatives, learning and development opportunities, health promotion activities, and staff-led events that support physical, mental and financial wellbeing.

Speaking about the reaccreditation, Caroline Jones, Manager of Engagement on the People Team at SOLAS, said:

"We are delighted to have been reaccredited with the KeepWell Mark. This achievement reflects the work that has taken place across SOLAS to support employee wellbeing and create a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

We are proud of this recognition, which reflects the collective efforts of colleagues across the organisation to create a workplace where people feel supported, valued and included."

Reaccreditation involved a comprehensive assessment process, including the submission of evidence demonstrating SOLAS' continued commitment to employee wellbeing and the progress made since first achieving the accreditation in 2024. The assessment required the organisation to demonstrate how feedback and recommendations from the original accreditation had been addressed and built upon, while also evidencing continued progress across the wellbeing pillars.

The reaccreditation also recognises the contribution of colleagues across the organisation who have helped to embed wellbeing into everyday working life. From participating in wellbeing initiatives and staff challenges to supporting inclusion, learning and engagement activities, employees have played an important role in making wellbeing a shared priority.

This latest reaccreditation reflects the organisation's ongoing commitment to supporting employee wellbeing and building a positive workplace culture.
