SOLAS Board announces appointment of Deirdre McDonnell as new Chief Executive Officer

Following a comprehensive recruitment process, the Board of SOLAS is delighted to announce the appointment of Deirdre McDonnell as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Ms McDonnell brings more than 20 years’ experience at senior management level in the civil service, most recently as Assistant Secretary General in the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration. She has extensive experience in the education sector where she spent the majority of her public service career, working in policy, implementation and operational roles.
Welcoming the appointment, SOLAS Chairperson Sean Aylward said:

Deirdre brings significant experience, knowledge, expertise and a strong track record of leadership across the public service.
