Project Assistant (Temp 2 year contracts) Grade 10 Quality Assurance Services
SOLAS, the Further Education and Training Authority of Ireland, was established on 27 October 2013 and its mission is to fund, co-ordinate and monitor a range of Further Education and Training (FET) provisions that is responsive to the needs of learners and employers. It is an agency of the recently formed Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. SOLAS works in close collaboration with Education and Training Boards (ETBs) across Ireland on provision of high-quality further education and training, equipping learners with relevant skills and knowledge, and providing a pipeline of talent into employment and to the Irish economy and society.

Applications are invited for the 2 individual roles of Project Assistant (temporary contracts, ending 01/12/2023) within the Quality Assurance Services Unit. The Project Assistant will work as part of a team within the National Training Fund Unit. The Project Assistant will provide support and operational assistance to the Project Officer and management team and contribute to overall objectives of the unit and project. Due to the nature of these roles, posts will be for a maximum of 2 years, with contracts ending 01/12/2023.
Base Locations of these roles:
within Limerick, Kerry or Galway Region
within Dublin, Waterford or Cork Region
Special Requirements for the Job- Must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post including, e.g., Car Owner, Driving Licence, Unsocial Hours, Multiple Base Locations.
This is a permanent position for which the salary scale ranges from €27,966 to €52,279 per annum (inclusive of two long service increments) for a 37-hour week. Starting pay will be at the minimum point of the scale as per Government Circular E100/8/82. Exceptional circumstances may apply for candidates with current service in the Civil/Public service.
