SOLAS is the Further Education and Training (FET) Authority in Ireland tasked with funding, co-ordinating and monitoring the provision of FET programmes to over 300,000 beneficiaries annually.
The Action Plan for Education, launched by the Minister for Education & Skills in 2016, has an ambition that Ireland will have the best education and training system in Europe in 10 years. The SOLAS Corporate Plan 2017 - 2019 sets out how FET will contribute to this ambition.
SOLAS SKILLS AND LABOUR MARKET RESEARCH UNIT
SOLAS is the Further Education and Training Authority in Ireland, tasked with ensuring the provision of 21st century programmes within further education and training that are responsive to the needs of learners and the requirements of a changed and changing economy. Its mission is to fund, co-ordinate and monitor a range of further education and training (FET) provision that supports this vision.
SOLAS is seeking to recruit an Economist for its Skills & Labour Market Research Unit. The Unit publishes research and reports including labour market data and analyses that facilitates the development and review of policy and practice in the further and higher education sectors as well as other related sectors.
The position will be based in SOLAS' offices at Castleforbes Road, Dublin 1.
Entry salary will be subject to Public Service regulations.
